001 : after her parents divorce when she was fifteen years old, so-eul moved to tokyo with her father after her mother had given him full custody to move in with the man she had an affair with. while she calls the city her home, she's a constant traveler.002 : she picked up photography at a young age, going through disposable cameras faster than her father may have wanted her to. the walls of her bedroom were covered in developed films, whether she found the photographs themselves to be good or not.
003 : she bought her first digital camera when she was seventeen years old, having stashed away most of her paychecks from working as a barista at a neighborhood cafe.004 : attending osaka university, so-eul got her degree in photography, specializing in film photography. during her time in school, she worked at a small studio owned by an elderly couple that specialized in darkroom and photogravure printing. every time she finds herself back home, she'll visit the studio during her free time to assist them with orders.
